DAY 1 CITY OF ARRIVAL - GUADALAJARA
Arrival at Guadalajara Airport, where your driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel. Check-in. Free time. Overnight stay in Guadalajara.
DAY 2 GUADALAJARA - CHAPALA – AJIJIC MAGIC TOWN - GUADALAJARA
Breakfast at the hotel. We will meet in the lobby at the agreed-upon time. Departure for the Chapala Riverbank, passing in front of the Vicente Fernández ranch. We will have time to visit the largest cowboy store in Mexico. Arrival in the town of Chapala, nicknamed the "little corner of love" for having been the honeymoon destination of several celebrities from Mexico's golden age of cinema, including the famous María Félix. We will visit the Chapala boardwalk and have free time for shopping, while we learn about the history of Mezcala Island, where one of the most important battles of Mexican independence was fought. Free time to explore the surroundings and shop at the craft market. At the time indicated by the guide, we will continue to Ajijic, a town designated a "Pueblo Mágico" by the Mexican Ministry of Tourism, with its typical cobblestone streets and adobe houses. We'll take a walking tour, discovering the seafront, art galleries, and the Wall of the Dead. We'll have the opportunity to have lunch (food not included) at the scheduled time before returning to Guadalajara. Overnight stay in Guadalajara.
DAY 3 GUADALAJARA - AMATITÁN AND TEQUILA - GUADALAJARA
Breakfast at the hotel. We will meet in the hotel lobby at the agreed-upon time. This morning, we will head to the Tequila Route to discover the history and origins of our traditional Mexican beverage. Our first stop will be in Amatitán, where we will visit the Mirador del Paisaje Agavero (Agave Landscape Viewpoint), where our guide will give us a complete explanation about the Tequilana Weber blue agave. We will have a professional tequila tasting with special pairings of tequilas produced in the region, followed by a visit to the Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) of Tequila to discover its historic center and emblematic streets. Next, we will visit a renowned distillery, Casa Cofradía, where we will receive a detailed explanation of the tequila production process on their production line, with a tasting of cooked agave and 55-proof tequila, as well as tequilas produced on-site. We will have lunch in the underground restaurant "La Taberna del Cofrade" with the distinctive pre-set "Treasures of Mexico" menu. At the agreed-upon time, we will return to Guadalajara. DAY 4. GUADALAJARA – MEXICO CITY
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport at the scheduled time for your return flight to your home city (not included). Your guide will meet you at Mexico City International Airport and transfer you to the hotel. Free afternoon. Overnight in Mexico City.
DAY 5 MEXICO CITY + ANTHROPOLOGY MUSEUM
Breakfast at the hotel. We'll begin the day with a visit to the Historic Center to discover the Zócalo, one of the largest squares in the world. We'll visit the Cathedral, the largest religious building on the continent since 1537, as well as the National Palace. We'll have a panoramic view of the Central Post Office and the Palace of Fine Arts.
Then we'll go to the National Museum of Anthropology (closed Mondays). With an area of 40,000 m², this museum offers the opportunity to discover the history and culture of pre-Columbian civilizations, from the Olmecs to the Mayans and Aztecs, who occupied Tenochtitlán before the arrival of the Spanish. Free afternoon. Overnight in Mexico City.
DAY 6 MEXICO CITY + BASILICA OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE + PYRAMIDS
Breakfast at the hotel. We begin with a visit to the Basilica of Guadalupe and the Pyramids of Teotihuacán, a Catholic sanctuary dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Teotihuacán, which in Nahuatl means "City of the Gods" or "Place where the Gods are Born," is the center of the spiritual and material knowledge of the Mesoamerican peoples, representing the richest architectural, urban, and artistic expression on the continent. You will visit the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, as well as the Pyramid of Quetzalcoatl. We will walk along the Avenue of the Dead, the main artery of this city, and at the Temple of Quetzalpapalotl, we will see frescoes from this period. Lunch will be served at a restaurant near the pyramids. Free afternoon. Overnight in Mexico City.
DAY 7 MEXICO
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Mexico City International Airport at the agreed-upon time.
