DAY 1 MEXICO CITY
Reception at Mexico City Airport and transfer to the hotel. Free time. Overnight stay.
DAY 2 MEXICO CITY (City Tour with Anthropology Museum)
Breakfast. You will then enjoy a tour of Mexico City's main streets, beginning in the Historic Center, where the "Great Tenochtitlan" of the Aztec Empire was located and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visit the Zócalo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Palace, the Palace of Fine Arts, among others. On Reforma Avenue, you will find various monuments that have shaped and shaped the city, such as the Angel of Independence, Diana the Huntress, and the recently built Bicentennial Column. Transfer to the Museum of Anthropology, one of the most important in the world, which houses the largest archaeological collection of Mesoamerican cultures, with pieces such as the "Sun Stone" or Aztec Calendar and the "Coatlicue," among many others. Through its 23 exhibition halls, you will learn more about the thought, life, and culture of the different civilizations that developed in ancient Mexico. Return to the hotel. Free afternoon. DAY 3 MEXICO CITY – QUERÉTARO - SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE
Breakfast. Meet with our guide to join the tour. Depart for Querétaro, a stunning city with vibrant architecture declared a World Heritage Site for its splendid viceregal buildings, plazas, gardens, and museums. We'll tour the city center, visiting the Corregidora's House, the ochre-colored San Francisco Church, and the Baroque Santa Sora de Viterbo. We'll conclude with a visit to the Arcos, a 74-arched pink stone aqueduct.
We continue our tour to a World Heritage City, San Miguel de Allende, also known as a resting place or residence of artists, writers, and poets. Arrival and panoramic tour starting with the historic center, followed by the Parish of San Miguel Arcángel, whose spectacular pink towers rise above the main square; the Convent of the Concepción; and the Church of San Francisco. We will conclude with a visit to the Allende House and Institute. Remainder of the afternoon at leisure. Accommodation.
DAY 4 SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE-DOLORES HIDALGO – ATOTONILCO -GUANAJUATO
Breakfast at the hotel. We will depart early for Dolores Hidalgo, recorded in history as the birthplace of National Independence. This was the setting for the early morning of September 16, 1810, when Father Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla called the town by ringing the parish bells. Panoramic tour of the city: Parish of Our Lady of Sorrows, Visitors' House, Independence Museum, Mariano Abasolo House, Main Garden, traditional ice creams, and Talavera pottery shops.
Continue to Atotonilco, known for all the pictorial art contained within its beautiful Sanctuary of Our Father Jesus of Nazareth, which has led to its name being called the Mexican Sistine Chapel. Its founder, Father Luis Felipe Neri de Alfaro, dedicated most of his life to leaving an evangelizing work. Years later, at the beginning of the struggle for Independence, Father Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla took up the banner of the Virgin of Guadalupe, which became the first flag of the insurgent movement. Today, it is a place of forgiveness and penance. Transfer to Guanajuato. Accommodation.
DAY 5 GUANAJUATO
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time until the scheduled transfer to Bajío Airport (León).
