DAY 1 CHIHUAHUA
Meet at the Mexico City airport at the scheduled time for your flight from Mexico City to Chihuahua. You will be greeted at the airport with a sign with your name on it and transferred to your hotel. At the scheduled time, we will take a city tour to see the murals in the Government Palace, as well as the Cathedral, the University Cultural Center (formerly Quinta Gameros), and the House of Pancho Villa (now the Museum of the Revolution). (Admission not included. Museums are closed on Mondays.) Accommodation
DAY 2 CHIHUAHUA – CREEL
Breakfast at the hotel. At 8:00 a.m., we will depart by road for the logging town of Creel. Arrival with free time for lunch. Check in at the hotel and later take a walk around Creel, visiting Lake Arareko, the San Ignacio Mission, the Mushroom Valley, the Frog Valley, and a Tarahumara cave. Overnight stay.
DAY 3 CREEL-COBRE BARRANCAS (BUS)
Breakfast. This morning you will be free to rest, take a walk, or visit one of the Tarahumara craft shops. We recommend a visit to the Tarahumara Art Museum. Around 11:00 a.m., we will board the bus to the world-famous Copper Canyon, arriving at approximately 12:00 p.m. We will then transfer directly to Adventure Park, where we will have the opportunity to observe Piedra Volada, part of the Urique and Tararecua Canyons. Free time to take the cable car and zip line tour (optional, not included). If you are interested in participating in an activity, please visit https://parquebarrancas.com/ to reserve. Lunch will be at your own expense. Later, we will depart for the hotel in Copper Canyon for a hike to the various viewpoints of the Canyon (check schedule at reception), dinner, and overnight stay.
DAY 4 COPPER BARRANCAS - BAHUICHIVO
Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, we will depart by road for Cerocahui. Upon arrival, lunch is included, and later we will take a tour of Cerro del Gallego, known as the "Urique Lookout Point." Along the way, we will see Tarahumara ranches and caves, an old church, and the spring of the Virgin. From the Cerro del Gallego Lookout Point, you can see the old mining town of Urique, as well as the river of the same name, at the bottom of the canyon. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 5 TUE, FRI, SUN BAHUICHIVO-EL FUERTE (CHEPE EXPRESS)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the station to board the Chepe Express train, which departs at 11:25 a.m. for the Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) of El Fuerte. We suggest eating on board. Arrival at approximately 2:35 p.m. and transfer to the hotel. Free time for a walk through this beautiful colonial town. We recommend taking the optional boat ride on the Fuerte River, where you can observe migratory birds and petroglyphs dating back 2,000 to 10,000 years. Approximate tour duration: 2:00 hours. DAY 6 THE FORT-LOS MOCHIS
Breakfast at the hotel, then free time until your transfer to the Los Mochis airport. We recommend taking the tour along the Fuerte River, where you can observe migratory birds and petroglyphs dating back 2,000 to 10,000 years. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours. Or, take the tour of the Mayo Yoreme community, where the deer dance is famous. (Check prices.) Your adventure concludes with your transfer back to the airport.
